"My Better Half" They say that every person has two sides to them, one side being the better half. My better half was named Lily. Lily was perfect. She helped everyone she could. She was never been driven by anything else besides helping people. When people were in need of flowers, she would get them for them at no charge. When we met a young warrior she found the most powerful sword he could use and gave it to him. When families of Nagnang were on a short supply of food due to terrible storms, she helped collect acorns, apples, and fish to help them survive. When she saw someone in trouble inside a cave, she'd go in to do whatever she could to help. She was everything I wasn't. I was a terrible person. I only looked out for myself. I did anything I needed to get ahead. I left behind friends. I left behind comrades. I left behind everything, just so I could get stronger, richer, better. When I first met Lily, I was in the forest. I had been struggling getting some wood to help stay warm for the night. I was getting more and more frustrated until she walked up and asked, "Hi, stranger. Did you need help with that?" She smiled at me and giggled. I looked at her awkwardly. What kind of person was this? I couldn't imagine anyone in the kingdom so willingly to help another. She waved her hand in front of his eyes and asked again, "Did you need help, hun?" I shook my head. "No, I just need to collect some wood." That's how I met her and since then we've become good friends. She was the kindest person I've ever met. She gave out whatever she could, and sometimes even stuff she couldn't. I couldn't understand her kindness. I was always told that you should always look out for yourself, and that's what I told her. She lent out money to people who we both knew wouldn't pay her back. She helped people get items even though she knew that those same people would end up selling those items at higher prices for their own selfish gain. She just helped the community. I couldn't stand how nice she was and we got into a huge argument, and "by we got into a huge argument", I mean I yelled at her and stomped off because I was a jerk. I decided to go on a hunt by myself to help blow off some steam. I had entered a cave where mythic dragons had dwelled. In no time, I found myself surrounded, and I knew I was in trouble. I had screamed to the top of my lungs. "Help please! Can anyone help me please?!" In no time, I saw Lily appear near me. She came in the room and we were able to escape into a corner where we were safe for a short time. She helped me heal my fresh wounds from the dragons. The ground began to shake. The earth began to move. The dragons were coming closer. I was barely in any condition to escape. She looked at me and smiled again. "Hun, get out of here as fast as you can, I'll lure them off." She was about to run off and I grabbed her arm. "Lily, why are you doing this? Why do you help people? Why are you helping me now?" With another smile she replied "Just to help you. I help whoever I can because I hope hat one day my kindness will rub off and they'll start helping people too. There's too much hate, too much greed, too much negativity in the kingdom, and I don't want to contribute to that. I have to go! Get out as soon as you can!" She ran off and the dragons followed. We both knew she wasn't coming back. She just gave her life? to help me. I left the cave and came back to find her body there, at peace. I picked her up and covered her, holding back the tears from my eyes. This is my eulogy to her. Lily did everything to help the world, and I now do the same. If anyone ever needs any help with anything, I will be there to help you. If you are in need of food, money, or just assistance, I will help you, because I know that that's what Lily would've done.
